Snow On Maui – Haleakalā Gets A Dusting Of Snow

Maui experienced some dramatic weather this week that resulted in localized flash flooding as well as a dusting of snow on Haleakalā!
At 10023 feet above sea level, the Haleakalā crater does ,on occasion, get a nice dusting of snow and this week visitors and locals got to experience this rather rare occurrence.
The Haleakalā crater is within Haleakalā National Park and according to MauiNow, roads above the 9000 foot elevation were closed Monday, February 19, 2018 due to poor road conditions.
