Q. Why do you recommend Travel Insurance?

Life can throw us a curve ball when we least expect it. No one wants to cancel their long awaited vacation but things happen. Maui is a remote location where generally speaking we book months in advance of a guests arrival.  We are generally unable to rebook last minute cancellations. It’s for this reason that we adhere to a firm cancellation policy. Having Travel Insurance may help you recoup your cost should you need to cancel at any time. We suggest that you look for ‘Cancel for Any Reason’ type of Travel Insurance.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

For the reasons stated above, we adhere to a firm cancellation policy. And we strongly recommend that you purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance.

• For cancellations >60 days prior to arrival, the balance of your payment will be refunded less a cancellation fee equal to one nights stay.
• For cancellations <60 days prior to arrival NO REFUND will be given.
• Refunds will be given only for MANDATORY EVACUATIONS as decreed by State of Hawaii and/or Maui County.
We strongly recommend travel insurance.

Q. We’ve never been to Maui. What’s special about Kihei?

Kihei is located in the south-western part of the island. It is the dryer area of Maui although we do get occasional rain.  Maui is made up of many microclimates ranging from tropical rain forest that receives rain just about every day to arid and dry volcano summit. Kihei seems to be the ‘Goldilocks’ of the island areas, it’s ‘Just Right’ in terms of weather. Sunny most of the time with occasional rain. Kihei is also just a quick 25 minute drive from the airport and you’ll find all the amenities you need. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping, activity rental warehouses and more. And with miles of stellar beaches within just a few minutes drive, we think Kihei has the best to offer visitors.

Q. Do you have a washer and dryer?

Yes!  We have an ensuite washer and dryer and you are provided low-suds laundry soap from our front office upon check-in. The first packet of laundry soap is provided at no cost and additional packets can be purchased at a very low cost.

Q. What do we pack? With airline luggage restrictions, we’re not sure what we need?

This is a great question!  Since we have a washer and dryer in the condo, you can pack light knowing you can do your washing during your stay.  We like to think that our condo is very well equipped and that you’ll want for nothing.  We provide just about everything you will need except personal toiletry items. Don’t worry if you forgot something, Maui has all the standard convenience stores such as Target, Costco, Long Drugs etc.  We suggest that you pack summer clothes as the weather is warm.  A light jacket or hoodie for cooler evenings or if you plan on taking a boat excursion, is always good. If you are planning on watching the sunrise at the summit of Haleakala, you will need to dress warmly as temperatures can be quite cold, often in the low 40º’s F. For a complete list of packing suggestions we recommend that you read our Ultimate Maui Travel Packing Guide.

Q. How close are you to XYZ?

We’re centrally located to just about everything. Our condo is just a few hundred yards to the beach and mere steps to the pool.  The closest restaurants/pub are about a 5 minute walk door-to-door. Also within just a few minutes walk are activity rental stores, convenience store, coffee house, shopping, natural foods store and a dozen or so other restaurants. There are several grocery stores within a 4 mile radius. Within this radius you’ll also find countless restaurants, pubs, clinics, post office and more. Most of the amazing South Maui beaches are within a 10-15 minute drive of our condo.  But of course, you can walk to any of the stellar Kamaole beaches.

Q. Can I smoke in the Condo or on the Lanai?

Sorry, No and this include eCigarettes, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco or vaping.  Ours is a smoke-free and tobacco-free condo. Per our Home Owner Association, there is NO SMOKING on the lanais, walkways, near elevators or within 50 feet of buildings.  There are designated smoking areas with the closest being located at the end of our parking lot. We maintain a firm no smoking/vaping/eCigarette policy and violation of this policy will result in forfeiture of your damage deposit and potentially additional cleaning/deodorizing fees.

Q. We’re a family of 5, can we book your condo?

Due to local fire codes and insurance restrictions we must limit to a maximum occupancy of 4 people. No exceptions. Guests who violate this policy will be asked to leave and forfeit their deposit and any remaining days will not be refunded.  We’re sorry that we cannot accommodate more than 4 guests.

Q.  Is Maui safe?

Generally speaking Maui has a low crime rate and is safe but petty theft is not uncommon. The best thing you can do is to not leave valuables in your rental car and keep a close eye on your belongings while at the beaches. We believe our condo is very safe. During business hours, there is a team of staff that you’ll see on property. We have a night security guard until 1am. For overnight security issues we provide an emergency number. It’s always best practice to lock the condo upon leaving to secure your belongings.  Our condo has digital keyless entry and you are supplied with your own custom PIN code of your choosing. We also utilize a Ring doorbell monitoring system to ensure no unwanted intruders.

Q. We want to book for a month or more, do you offer rate discounts?

Yes! We offer a rate discount for stays of 28 days or longer. Please contact us to receive a quote.

Q. Can we see the floor layout of your condo?

Yes!  We have a copy located in our Floor Plan page. Please click ‘Floor Plan‘ to be taken to that page.
